Six Figures in 12 Months
In the next few pages I’m going to shake up your world a little, and help you reframe what you may currently think is possible for yourself.
Among other things, we’re going to look at what it takes to get you closer to a 6-figure hypnotherapy business.
Sound unrealistic or impossible?
That’s what I thought at first too.
Let me share my story with you, as well as some of the most valuable lessons I received from my own mentors in the industry.
There’s bound to be a few “A-ha” moments, and if you use some of the things I’m about to tell you, I have no doubt you’ll see an increase in profits as a result.
Now, I’d suggest you stick the kettle on, make something nice to drink, then sit back, and get ready to take some notes…
Let’s Get Started
Let me begin by introducing myself…
My name’s Billy Farrell (handsome bloke on the right).
Today, I’m a marketer, Internet marketer, entrepreneur, and I like to think “a nice guy”.
However, this all started from my first business as a hypnotherapist.
Funnily enough, I took a route into the business that’s familiar to many therapists.
After years of depression, anxiety, anger, and several other issues, I found myself seeking solutions, and ended up on a hypnosis taster course with Paul McKenna.
I signed up for Paul’s other courses, and before I knew it, my life had completely turned around.
Not an uncommon theme in our industry.
After some miraculous results in my own life, I decided I wanted to help other people feel the way I did, and to help them overcome their own challenges.
After researching the industry, I quickly realised just how many unqualified and inexperienced people were operating, and that the industry was far from regulated.
I decided to start my own journey by taking as much training as possible. I then set out to get as much real-world experience as possible, learning by doing, and learning from mentors I’d sought out to help me.
I really wanted to help people, not just to overcome fear or lose weight, but to change everything that was holding them back.
I was absolutely passionate about this.
However, despite what you might have heard…
Passion doesn’t cut it!
You can be as passionate and motivated to help other people as you like, but unless you learn how to take your message to the market, you’ll never reach your potential as a business person, and you’ll likely end up in the Mother Theresa category.
I don’t know about you, but I wanted my OWN life to be much nicer.
As well as helping clients, I wanted more for myself.
I wanted higher paying clients, better contracts, public speaking gigs, media attention, more income, a nicer car, passive income, more free time, and all the rest.
You could call it an overdose of Tony Robbins…
But I knew it was all possible!
Others had become incredibly successful as hypnotherapists. Others had brought in the big bucks while helping more people, in less time. Others were incredibly fulfilled and living the life of their dreams while working in a worthwhile role.
On the other hand…
I knew many hypnotherapists who were great at what they did, but were being wiped out by less experienced savvy marketers.
It seemed to me that the number of clients who took hypnosis seriously was limited, yet the number of therapists willing to snap them up was constantly growing.
Not to mention that most people didn’t see hypnotherapy as a sensible option.
On a side note, I’ll always remember my early days of frustration, when people constantly confused what I did with magic and entertainment.
I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve heard the words “Look into my eyes, look into my eyes, not around the eyes, in the eyes, now sleep!”
It drove me a little mad!
Therapists, NOT Marketers
I learned quickly that to survive in business as a hypnotherapist, I’d have to become an outstanding marketer. Either that or I’d have to outsource my marketing to other people, which I didn’t have the money for at the time, and didn’t want to take the risk.
Most people don’t start out to become marketers.
Most people are passionate about and dedicated to their craft.
And that’s the way it should be.
But as a wise man once told me…
“You can have the most amazing little shop, but if nobody can find you, you’ll be out of business in no time at all”.
So I set out to find someone who could help me take my business to the next level.
I wanted to find someone who had been there, done that, and wore the t-shirt.
As law of attraction fanatics will tell you, ask and you shall receive.
I asked, and by a stroke of luck, I ended up speaking with one of Scotland’s leading life coaches and therapists, and the only person I knew (at the time) who had made over 100 grand in a single year through client work.
This guy had things to teach me, and there were things he wanted to learn from me too.
We ended up working together and learning from each other.
I taught him how some deeper aspects of hypnosis, and he taught me how to get ridiculously wealthy as a hypnotherapist and coach.
